The Deep Diving Students

I was commissioned to make two illustrations for what Ingvild Vikingsen Skogestad calls "the deep-diving student".

I decided to illustrate students who literally swims in knowledge, of one can get knowledge from other places than books, but books are often represented as a symbol for knowledge 😊
Ingvild says, The teacher as counsellor and facilitator for each student to explore their own knowledge and skills.
